Tenure-Track Open-Rank Positions (Start date: October 2026)
Department of Humanities and Arts, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology
The Department of Humanities and Arts invites applications for open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions beginning October 2026. We welcome outstanding candidates at both junior and senior levels.
Our core research areas encompass the history and philosophy of science, engineering, and medicine. The department has special interest in ethics of engineering and technology, including emerging issues related to artificial intelligence.
Background in the sciences or engineering is a strong advantage, and enthusiasm for collaborative research with Technion staff from other faculties is highly desirable.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline and present an excellent publication record (relative to their career stage) that demonstrates significant contributions to current research. The Technion typically appoints faculty after a postdoctoral fellowship.
Application Instructions:
Please email the following materials to Anat Glass (anatg@technion.ac.il) by November 25, 2025:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) (see, for example, Technion format here)
- Writing sample
- Research statement (2–4 pages)
- Teaching statement (up to 2 pages)
Junior candidates, who do not currently hold a tenure-track position in a recognized institution of higher education, should also arrange for two letters of reference to be sent directly to the same address. It is recommended that one of these letters be written by the candidate’s Ph.D. supervisor.
