Call for Tenure Track Position

Faculty Positions in the Department of Humanities and Arts, Technion

The Department of Humanities and Arts at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, invites applications from outstanding candidates for Open Rank faculty positions, starting October 2025. We are seeking applications from both senior- and junior-level candidates.

The department’s core research is in the history and philosophy of science, engineering, and medicine, and seeks to promote collaborations between philosophers and historians of science with active scientists. We have also developed an embedded ethics and an environmental ethics program, and seek faculty members in these fields. Background in the sciences or in engineering is a significant advantage. Demonstrating personal interest in cultivating research initiatives with Technion STEM researchers is highly desirable. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in one of the relevant disciplines, an excellent record of publication, demonstrating a substantial contribution to current research. Technion normally hires candidates after a postdoctoral phase. Candidates at earlier stages (final Ph.D. stage) who wish to be considered for a postdoctoral position at the department may apply as well.
