
Call for Postdoc position
Duration: 1 year (with option for extension)
As part of a new research initiative, applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral position at the Humanities & Arts department of the Technion in Haifa, Israel. The successful candidate will become part of the early modern philosophy and science workgroup supervised by Prof. Ohad Nachtomy, and conduct independent and collaborative research. Teaching is welcome but optional.
The goal of the new workgroup is to conduct cutting-edge research in history of philosophy and science and philosophy at the early modern period, and to foster interdisciplinary collaborations that link the humanities to science and technology. We have some preference to scholars working on Leibniz or Spinoza but the research topic is open.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in either philosophy, history, or history of science, awarded or close to completion. Ability and desire to conduct independent research are essential; a publication record in a pertinent field is highly desirable.

Postdoc position in the field of English language and linguistics at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology
Start: October 2023 (flexible)

As part of a new research initiative, applications are invited for a full-time postdoctoral position at the Humanities & Arts department of the Technion in Haifa, Israel. The successful candidate will become part of the new language and communication workgroup supervised by Dr. Tzipora Rakedzon, and conduct independent and collaborative research.
The goal of the new workgroup is to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of academic writing, or in the broader field of academic communication, and to foster interdisciplinary collaborations that link the humanities to science and technology. While we have some preference for scholars working on such topics, the research topic is open and other suggestions related to English/linguistics are welcome.
The applicant is required to have a PhD awarded or close to completion in either linguistics or computer related fields such as AI/NLP. Ability and desire to conduct independent research are essential; a publication record in a pertinent field is highly desirable.
Pay: $30,000 per year
