My research focuses on young children’s second/foreign language development in Asian contexts. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong, where my thesis examined the association between home environment and young Chinese children’s English as a second/foreign language development. My current research project is about exploring the potential of AI technology to support young children’s English as a second/foreign language learning, particularly those from low socioeconomic (SES) backgrounds.

I specialise in normative and applied ethics, and I’m currently conducting research on the “LLMs and a Well-Rounded Approach to Human Flourishing” project.

Before this, I was a postdoctoral fellow at University College London (UCL), where I also completed a PhD in philosophy. My doctoral research was primarily on what is known as “the numbers problem”, defending a pro tanto rational requirement to save the greater number.

I'm currently interested in a range of ethical issues, including the ethics of AI, moral aggregation, moral uncertainty, the demands of beneficence, the ethics of procreation, and the philosophical foundations of effective altruism.

I specialise in Early Modern philosophy and have research interests in Feminist philosophy.

I was awarded a PhD in philosophy in October 2023 for my thesis Between Leibniz and Spinoza: Individuals, Naturalism and Ethics.

I am currently continuing my research on Leibniz's philosophy of nature.

I work in the history of philosophy and am specialized in scholastic medieval and early modern philosophy with a view to its contemporary significance. At the Technion, I am working with Prof. Enrico Piergiacomi on pre-modern developments of the atomist tradition in natural philosophy and science, where we are studying the early modern revival of Democritean atomism and its rupture with scholastic versions of atomism.

I hold a PhD from Stockholm University and from the University of Cologne. My dissertation concerned the logic and metaphysics of necessity and possibility in John Buridan, and I’m currently also completing a monograph on this. I have published and forthcoming work in philosophy journals and book collections edited by publishers such as Brill, Springer, and De Gruyter, on historical-philosophical issues concerning empty terms, the logic of modality, and the use of reductio arguments in philosophy.

My work focuses on decision theory, epistemology and normative reasons. My dissertation explores issues in moral uncertainty and the theory of reasons.

My current research project is about the prevalence of Bullshit (in the technical, Frankfurtian, sense) in social media. It aims to explain the emergence of this phenomenon and explore its ethical implications.

Mt study aims to explore the experiences and challenges faced by female professors in West Africa and the Middle East, shedding light on the unique gender-related issues within academia in these regions.

By investigating the influence of gender on academic writing, particularly in the context of West Africa and the Middle East, this research seeks to uncover how gender dynamics shape scholarly communication.

Through examining strategies employed by female academics, this study aims to reveal effective approaches for overcoming gender-based barriers, contributing to a better understanding of how women navigate their academic careers in these regions.
