Dr. Caterina Scaccia

Caterina is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Technion. She holds a BA in Philosophy of Science and an MA in Languages from the University of Milan (Italy). Her PhD research, pursued at Tel Aviv University, focused on the persuasive role of humor in stand-up comedy and was carried out at the ADARR (Discourse Analysis, Argumentation, and Rhetoric) lab. A firm believer in the power of interdisciplinary approaches, she is now researching the role of verbal humor in quantum physics discourse.
