Dr. Zeev GoldschmidtAdvisor | Prof. Ohad Nathomi Dr. Avigail Fredman (2024- today)
My work focuses on decision theory, epistemology and normative reasons. My dissertation explores issues in moral uncertainty and the theory of reasons.
My current research project is about the prevalence of Bullshit (in the technical, Frankfurtian, sense) in social media. It aims to explain the emergence of this phenomenon and explore its ethical implications.

I specialise in normative and applied ethics, and I’m currently conducting research on the “LLMs and a Well-Rounded Approach to Human Flourishing” project.
Before this, I was a postdoctoral fellow at University College London (UCL), where I also completed a PhD in philosophy. My doctoral research was primarily on what is known as “the numbers problem”, defending a pro tanto rational requirement to save the greater number.
I’m currently interested in a range of ethical issues, including the ethics of AI, moral aggregation, moral uncertainty, the demands of beneficence, the ethics of procreation, and the philosophical foundations of effective altruism.
